Happy Thanksgiving! I hope all of you are able to enjoy some quality time with the people you love in your life. Maybe it's because people are recovering from their turkey dinners. Maybe its because there is typically a great deal of travelling over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Maybe its because everyone will be out shopping. Whatever the reason, there are not as many events this weekend as I would have expected. Here are a few ideas, but stay tuned for next weeks events. It is jammed packed with events and we're excited to share them with you!
- Drive through the spectacular Kentucky Horse Park's Southern Lights display.
- Be there when Santa Arrives in Midway on Satruday, take free train rides and get the kid's faces painted!
- Paint with Santa (tickets required!) and help others at the Santa and Me Handprint Plates and Food Drive at Bless Your h'Art.
- Let the kids explore what it was like for early settlers on the Kentucky frontier at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History for Kids Class: Into the Woods.
- Head out to the movie theater and catch Dr. Seuss' The Grinch (PG), Ralph Breaks the Internet (PG) or The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (PG). Not up for going out? Snuggle up, stay in and catch the new Netflix release The Christmas Chronicles or pick from one of these 18 Watch-at-Home Classic Christmas Movies.
- Support local businesses by shopping with them on Saturday and read our article on Why You Should Shop Local This Holiday Season.
