Afternoon Ride: 2 p.m. (Boarding starts at 1:30 p.m.)Description
Join us every Saturday this summer to experience the beauty of Kentucky horse country from the comfort of our train. The rides are narrated so you'll learn about the scenery around you, as well as some interesting tales from local and railroading history.
Departure Times:
- Morning Ride: 11 a.m. (Boarding starts at 10:30 a.m.)
- Afternoon Ride: 2 p.m. (Boarding starts at 1:30 p.m.)
Before You Board:
Arrive early to explore our museum display, interactive model train exhibit, and fascinating on-ground pieces. Trains leave promptly at their departure times.
Choose Your Seating Experience:
- Open Air Car: Feel the wind in your hair and enjoy an open-air journey, right behind the locomotive.
(These cars are covered so the seats are shaded and protected from the weather.) - First Class: Indulge in the air-conditioned luxury and padded seats of a bygone era.
- Coach: Relive the charm of commuter-style open-window seating.
Trip Details:
Duration: Approximately 90 minutes.
Mid-Ride Stop: Disembark at Young's High Bridge to admire breathtaking views of the Kentucky River Palisades and capture some great photos.

- Open Air Car "Hobo Class": Adults $20 | Children (2-12) $18
- Coach: Adults $15 | Children (2-12) $13
- Cab Rides: $50 (max. 2 riders. For safety reasons, cab riders must be able to board the locomotive unassisted.)

We recommend purchasing tickets in advance. You'll collect them at the ticket counter before boarding the train.

Important Note:
Restrooms are available at the museum station, but NOT on the train or at the Kentucky River stop.

Our open-window coach cars are wheelchair accessible and can accommodate standard-sized wheelchairs.
